I’m Fotie. I live in Ankara, Turkey where I build the future.
I’ve loved building things for as long as I can remember, and wrote my first program when I was 15 years old, back in secondary school just a couple weeks after we started getting access to our school computer labs for practicals.
The only thing I loved more than computers as a kid was arts(drawing). When I was 12, i used to draw comic charactors in class with my mates. Which eventually evolved to creating my very own comic books and later on realistic portraits with pencil and charcoal.
It all started in 2012. The year I took my first steps into the world of coding. Armed with Pascal and HTML, I was absolutely thrilled by the prospect of building something from scratch. The fascination with computers had me hooked.
Fast forward to 2017, I had graduated from high school and embarked on my journey through university. I chose to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science at The African Institute of Computer Sciences. This marked my formal entry into the world of engineering, and I was eager to absorb all the knowledge I could.
During my university years, I became deeply involved in bootcamps and tech communities in my region. These experiences opened doors, and in late 2019, I secured a fully funded scholarship from Meta (formerly known as Facebook). This scholarship enabled me to study at Openclassrooms, where I embarked on a year-long Developer Path for Front-end Web Development, in affiliation with the Board of Paris, France. It was a transformative experience that allowed me to hone my skills, work on hands-on projects, and connect with mentors who guided me through the intricacies of web development.
Today, I'm an open source enthusiast, software developer, mentor and SaaS founder. I craft scalable software solutions to solve real life problems, and i am dedicated to building innovative SaaS products that empower businesses to work smarter, not harder.
